Terms of Service
Last updated August 2026
These are the terms you agree to by using Repetiq. We have tried to write them in the same voice as the rest of the app, which means plainly. Where the law requires something to be said in a particular way, it is said that way and then explained.
The short version
Use Repetiq to learn things. Do not cheat, do not abuse other people, and do not try to break it. Keep your account details to yourself. If you buy something, Apple or Google takes the money and their refund rules apply. You can leave whenever you want and take your data with you. Nothing here removes a right your own country's consumer law gives you, and if we have accidentally written something that tries to, that part simply does not count.
Who you are agreeing with
Repetiq is made and run by two people in Greece, reachable at repetiq@gmail.com. There is no company: "we" and "us" mean those two people. "You" means you. Our names and address are verified with Apple and Google and published on the store listings, and we will send them to you if you ask.
By downloading, installing or using Repetiq you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app, and if you have already installed it, delete it.
You need to be at least 13 to use Repetiq. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they are agreeing to these terms alongside you.
What Repetiq is
Repetiq is a quiz app built around spaced repetition. It serves short rounds of questions, schedules each question for review based on how you answered it, and tracks your progress, streaks, ranks, and badges.
It is a learning tool and a game. It is not a qualification, a teacher, or a source of professional advice. Questions are written and reviewed carefully, and every so often one will still be wrong. Tell us and we will fix it, but do not make a medical, legal or financial decision because of something you read in a quiz.
Your account
You need an account, and you need to give us accurate information to create one. Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you, so if you think someone else has got in, email us immediately and change your password.
One account per person. Do not sell your account, lend it, or run several of them to game the leaderboards.
Fair play
You agree not to:
- use Repetiq for anything unlawful
- reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise try to extract the source code or the answer key
- automate play, script the app, or use a modified client
- exploit a bug instead of reporting it, particularly one that affects rank, XP, gems or entitlements
- choose a username or profile image that is abusive, hateful, obscene, or pretends to be someone else
- harass another player, or use the social features to target anyone
- interfere with the service, its infrastructure, or anybody else's use of it
Finding a bug is not a violation. Keeping quiet about a bug and farming it is. Email repetiq@gmail.com and we will thank you properly.
If you break these rules we may remove content, reset progress that was not honestly earned, take you off the leaderboards, suspend your account, or close it. We will match the response to what actually happened, and if we get that call wrong you can appeal it by writing to us.
Leaderboards and public profiles
Leaderboards are public by design, and by default your username, avatar, and headline statistics are visible to other players. You control this in the app under Settings and then Privacy.
Anything you make public, you are responsible for. We can remove a username, display name, avatar or profile detail that breaks the rules above, and we can do it without warning if it is serious.
Ranks, scores and leaderboard positions are ours to calculate and, where necessary, to correct. If a position was reached by exploiting a bug, we will fix it.
Repetiq Plus, gems and other purchases
Repetiq is free to download and free to play. Every category and every question is available without paying. Purchases are optional and they are all made inside the app.
Repetiq Plus is available as an auto renewing monthly subscription, an auto renewing annual subscription, or a one time lifetime purchase. Plus adds unlimited review sessions, deeper statistics, exclusive themes, and a monthly allowance of gems. The annual plan and the lifetime purchase include the premium Season Pass track for each season they cover. The monthly plan does not.
How billing works. Payment is taken by Apple or by Google, through your Apple Account or your Google Account, at the moment you confirm the purchase. An auto renewing subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before that. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and vary by country. We can change prices for future periods, but never for a period you have already paid for, and you will be told before a renewal at a new price.
Cancelling. Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings or your Google Play subscriptions at any time. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Deleting your Repetiq account does not cancel it either. Cancel it where you bought it.
Gems are a consumable virtual currency used inside the app. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, cannot be transferred between accounts, and are used up when spent. They are licensed to you for use in Repetiq, not sold to you as property. If you close your account, any unspent gems go with it.
Cosmetics, themes and other virtual items are licensed to you for use inside the app on the same basis. We may change, retire or replace them, and if we retire something you paid real money for, we will tell you and make it right.
Your right to cancel, and refunds
Apple and Google process every purchase, and depending on where you live one of them is the seller of record for the transaction rather than us. That has two consequences and they are both in your favour.
Refunds go to them. We cannot issue a refund for something we were not paid for directly. Request it from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or from Google through Google Play. Their policies apply, and they are generally more generous than they are required to be.
Your withdrawal right, if you are in the EU or the UK. Consumer law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract for digital content. That right ends once delivery has begun with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you are losing it, which is what confirming an in app purchase means. In practice this matters most for gems, which are delivered instantly. Apple and Google both operate their own 14 day cancellation processes for EEA and UK customers regardless, and those are the ones to use.
If something we sold you does not work, and it is our fault, email repetiq@gmail.com. We will fix it, or get you to the right refund, and we will not make you argue about it first.
What belongs to whom
The app, the questions, the artwork, the interface, the name and the logo are ours or are licensed to us. Using Repetiq gives you a personal, non transferable licence to use it. It does not give you the right to copy the question bank, republish the artwork, or build something from any part of it.
Anything you create inside the app, such as your username, display name, bio and avatar choices, remains yours. You give us permission to display it inside Repetiq, which is the only place it needs to appear.
If you send us feedback or an idea, we may act on it, and you are not owed anything for that. We will still be grateful.
Changes to the app and to these terms
Repetiq is actively developed. Features arrive, features change, and occasionally a feature is removed because it was not working. We will not remove something you have paid for without telling you and dealing with it fairly.
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes, and if the change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, so you have the chance to stop using Repetiq instead of accepting it. Continuing to use the app after that is acceptance.
Ending this
You can stop at any time. Delete your account in Settings, then Account, then Delete Account, and remember to cancel any subscription where you bought it.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and in serious cases we can do it without notice. If we close your account for a rule you did not break, tell us, and we will put it back.
Some parts of these terms survive the end of the agreement, specifically the sections on intellectual property, liability and governing law. That is normal and it works in both directions.
What we do not promise
Repetiq is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, always be free of bugs, or always be correct. We do not promise that using it will make you learn any particular thing, because that part is up to you.
None of this limits the rights you have under consumer law, including your right to a service that matches how it was described.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Those limits do not exist and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in connection with Repetiq is limited to the greater of what you have paid us in the previous 12 months, or 50 euros.
Which law applies, and where a dispute goes
These terms are governed by Greek law.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country. We can only bring a claim against you in the courts of the country you live in. That is what the law requires, and we are stating it here so it is not a surprise.
The European Commission also runs an online dispute resolution platform for consumer disputes, at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them still stand.
Contact
Everything that arrives there is read by one of the two of us. It is the only channel and it is enough: no form to fill in first, no ticket number, and nobody to get past. If you need our registered trader details, for a complaint or for anything else, ask and we will send them.
